Hole 2 - 'Three Horseshoes'

Hole Description

Hole 2 plays down hill and down the prevailing wind so often plays shorter than the yardage suggest.  Despite this the hole easily plays its' Stroke Index 8 from the white tee.

The boundary of the course, and Out of Bounds, runs the length of the hole down the right side.  There is a water hazzard in the form of a ditch across the fairway at approx 150 yards, which proves to be the driving length for many golfers.  The same ditch turns 90 degrees and continues to run the length of the hole to the green down the right side of the fairway.

The fairway can be fast running and the green is a tricky and undulating surface which is firm and slopes front to back making distance control difficult with approach shots.
